The federal government assure students that the Academic Staff Union of Universities will soon called off the prolong strike and the academic activities will resume in earnest.
Mean while NASU and SASUU emabark on two months strike.
Having speaking with the Federal Executive Council presided by president Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chamber of presidential Villa, Abuja minister of labour and employment, senator Chris Ngige said the strike is in sight.
The minister, denies the allegations that the federal government creating tables of payment for the Union. He said all payments are summoned to relevant agencies which will end the prolong strike.
Negigi, while speaking, said that the government was interested to see the students going back to schools and resumption should be earnest.
He said the meeting of Thursday was held to look at the progressive stage of the relavant bodies over the means of payment.
The minister further state, he was awaiting the report of tripiatite plus committee comparing of minister of education, chief of staff, salaries and wage and income commission, national University commission as well as the striking unions.
He assure students to remain calm that resumption going to be soonest.
