Eight Months Without Salary Was Tough- Unical Don

Professor Bassy Eyo Bassy a lecturer at University of Calabar, has review how life was difficult without payment of salary since the lingering strike

In an interview today been Friday 14th, professor said ” it was a tough experience to stay without salary for eight months.

As intellectuals,we devoted our lives to academic activities, teaching, research and community development’.

He therefore expressed happiness over the lingering strike which was called off by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and have proven one or two points.

Professor Bassy said, the Academic Staff Union of Universities cannot be intimidated despite the lingering strike but for federal government to find durable solution.

He also reacted to the faction Union, saying, they will soon fizzle out because they are not over 90 percent in Nigeria universities.
